Prince William is set to make his TED Talk debut.

It was revealed today that the Duke of Cambridge will be a featured guest for an upcoming conference centered on the subject of climate change. The virtual panel, which will discuss how the world can tackle global warming and ensure a better, healthier future for the planet, is set for October 10. Fellow guest speakers will include impassioned climate activists such as Al Gore, Jaden Smith, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Yemi Alade, and Don Cheadle.

Alongside the celebrity appearances, the event will bring together "scientists, activists, entrepreneurs, urban planners, farmers, CEOs, investors, artists, government officials," and more to "find the most effective, evidence-based ideas" to help combat climate change. Part of the conference's overall pledge is to work to find a way to decrease greenhouse gas emissions by half by the year 2030.

William's October appearance won't be the first time the royal has addressed global warming. In 2019, the duke helped launch a polar research ship that would spend the next 25 to 30 years at sea studying and observing oceans, marine life, and more within Antarctica and the Arctic. Along with his wife, Duchess Kate, William toured the research facility to learn more about its goal to expand global knowledge of the oceans and the disastrous effects of climate change.
