Prince William's son was born only days ago, but he has already returned to his royal duties, attending an early morning Anzac Day memorial service. While the Duke of Cambridge was at the event at Westminster Abbey, he is officially on paternity leave, and it's likely we won't see him much over the next few weeks.

While at the engagement, William shared that his wife Kate and the baby are "very well" and that everyone is "in good form, luckily."

According to Victoria Murphy, he also revealed that "Sleeping’s going reasonably well so far, so he’s behaving himself which is good."

He also joked about the name of his son, reportedly referencing "Alexander" and "Jerry." Should Prince William and Duchess Kate follow the same timeline they did with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the newborn prince's name should be released today. Bookies have been favoring Arthur, Albert, Phillip, and James.

So why hasn't the baby's name been announced yet?

"The reasoning is perhaps two fold. On one hand there's a desire to inform the families before a public declaration is made and any new parent appreciates having a little private time to get to know their new addition before the onslaught of announcements," royal expert Victoria Arbiter told Town & Country via email.

"Royals, however, also have to consider the great responsibility in naming a new member of the family and I expect they want to be a hundred percent certain of their choice before announcing the name and sealing the baby's place in history."
