At the British High Commissioner’s reception in Namibia, Prince William gave a heartfelt and inspirational speech after his meeting with government heads and young leaders to discuss conservation. But he couldn't resist a little dad humor while thanking the crowd for the trip, poking fun at his wife, Kate Middleton, and their three kids Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3 and Prince Louis, 5 months.

"I'm delighted to be visiting Namibia for the first time. I'm only sorry that my wife Catherine is not able to join me," he said. "She is immensely jealous. Particularly as I'm looking forward to a few good uninterrupted nights sleep this week away from my wonderful children."

During his trip, Prince William met with Save the Rhino Trust Namibia and Integrated Rural Development and Nature Conservation, and got hands-on with the organizations to better understand their work.

This isn't the first time William has made a dad joke during a royal engagement, and we have a feeling it won't be the last.

Just a few weeks ago, during an official visit to the Royal Mail's International Logistics Centre at Heathrow Airport, the Duke of Cambridge quipped about the drugs detained at the facility, which included cannabis, MDMA, and cocaine, according to the Daily Mail. "We had better get out before we have a drugs test!" William reportedly said.

In May, just after Prince Louis was born, Prince William also joked about his youngest to a crowd of well-wishers. After one fan congratulated the Duke on the birth of his son, he exclaimed, “We are looking for a babysitter if you are all free!” according to People. Good one, Will!
