Prince William Has Left the Hospital After Kate Middleton Gave Birth

It’s happening! Just hours after Kensington Palace announced that Kate Middleton gave birth to her third child, a baby boy, her husband Prince William left the hospital to go see their other two children, 4-year-old Prince George and 2-year-old Princess Charlotte.

The three-time dad was all smiles as he left the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital in London, waving to the cameras as he got in his car and drove back to Kensington Palace. Presumably, the royal will pick up his two eldest and bring them back to the hospital, where they’ll meet their new baby brother and reunite with their mom. According to People, Prince George was at school when Middleton gave birth, while Charlotte was home at Kensington Palace.

Princess Charlotte made history when her new baby brother was born, becoming the first royal girl not to lose her spot in line to the throne to her younger brother. Charlotte remains fourth in line, while the new royal baby is fifth.

This sighting of Prince William outside the hospital hopefully means that Middleton and their new baby boy will soon make their public debut on those same steps of the Lindo Wing. Maybe they’ll even bring Prince George and Princess Charlotte to the photo opp.
