Prince William and Kate Middleton Wish Prince Philip a Happy 99th Birthday

• The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took to Instagram to wish Prince Philip a happy 99th birthday today.

• The royal couple shared a series of sweet throwback images of the two with the Duke of Edinburgh from past royal excursions.

• Other members of the royal family, including Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, and the queen herself, sent warm wishes Philip's way in honor of his big day.

The Cambridges are chiming in on Instagram to wish the Duke of Edinburgh a happy birthday today.

Prince William and Duchess Catherine shared a series of sweet photos featuring themselves with Prince Philip in honor of the duke's 99th birthday. In the shared images, both of the Cambridges can be seen standing side by side with the duke at different royal excursions over the years.

"Wishing a very happy 99th Birthday to The Duke of Edinburgh!" wrote the royal couple alongside their post.

The royal family's official Instagram account also went the throwback route in honor of the duke's special day, posting a series of vintage snapshots of Philip throughout the years.

"Wishing The Duke of Edinburgh a very happy birthday! His Royal Highness turns 99 today and will spend the day with The Queen at Windsor," revealed The Royal Family Instagram.

The throwback birthday post follows the release of a new image of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip shared yesterday. In the photo, which was photographed outside Windsor Castle, the royal couple smile side by side in front of their estate where they have been quarantined amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis since March.

Princess Eugenie also joined in on the social media celebration, sharing a few snapshots of her and her grandfather from her 2018 wedding to Jack Brooksbank.

"A very Happy 99th Birthday to HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.
Grandpa, we wish you a special day.. and may all grandparents celebrating birthdays in lockdown have a wonderful time. #happybirthday," wrote Princess Eugenie on Instagram.

In addition to a slew of social media wishes for the duke's birthday, BAZAAR.com understands that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will also be video-calling Philip for his birthday with their one-year-old son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.
