Are Prince William and Kate Middleton Moving?! Here’s What We Know

Kate Middleton and Prince William might be for looking for a change of scenery. At least, that’s the vibe we’re getting from a recent report from the Mail on Sunday.

A source recently revealed to the outlet that while the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge usually split their time between Kensington Palace and their country home, Anmer Hall, they are “seriously considering” making a permanent move to be closer to Queen Elizabeth. Specifically, the family of five is thinking about joining Her Majesty at Windsor.

“Anmer Hall made sense while William was a helicopter pilot in East Anglia and it was useful for Christmases at Sandringham, but it doesn’t really work anymore," the source said. “It’s a little too far away for weekends, but Windsor is a perfect compromise. They are eyeing up options in the area.”

If you’re unfamiliar, Windsor is just an hour outside of the U.K.’s capital and is where the queen has remained—aside from her current summer break at Balmoral—since the death of Prince Philip. No word on exactly where in Windsor the family would reside.

It’s important to note that the couple has yet to officially confirm or deny these reports, so, we’re taking the news with a grain of salt for now. However, if the rumors are true, then it means the couple would have to find new schools to send their children to. (Prince George and Princess Charlotte currently attend Thomas’s Battersea.)

This shouldn’t be too difficult a task, considering (as The Mail points out) Prince William and Prince Harry both attended Windsor’s Eton College and it is possible the duo could send their sons there.

Either way, we’re still getting ahead of ourselves. We won’t know anything for sure until we see the Cambridges loading boxes into a moving truck.
