Today, Prince William and Kate Middleton have another full slate of royal engagements ahead of them, including a visit to the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Lahore.

The hospital, which was founded in 1994 by Pakistan's current Prime Minister, Imran Khan, was held a special place in Princess Diana's heart. The late royal visited the hospital twice in the '90s—in February of 1996 and May of 1997.

Ahead of their trip to visit the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, Will and Kate shared a touching tribute to Diana and her work with the patients at the center in a post on the official Kensington Royal Instagram:

In 1996 and 1997 Diana, Princess of Wales visited the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, a state-of-the-art cancer facility located in the centre of Lahore.

Over twenty years on, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit the children’s ward at the hospital today to spend time with patients undergoing treatment, and speak to their families.

This post is just one of the many ways the Cambridges have honored Diana during their royal tour of Pakistan.
