Prince William and Kate Middleton Feel “Responsible” for Comforting the Public Since Megxit Happened
Prince William and Kate Middleton feel like they need to comfort the public more after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from their royal duties.
It sounds like William and Kate don’t mind having extra responsibilities though.
It’s been almost four whole months since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from their royal duties—feel old yet? JK, JK…but seriously, in the time since that bombshell announcement, things have changed dramatically (to say the least). Meghan and Harry are living their best lives in Los Angeles and doing charity work, but back in England, Prince William and Kate Middleton have their noses to the grindstone trying to make up for the gaps Harry and Meghan left in the monarchy.
In an interview with The Sun, royal expert Ingrid Seward revealed that Will and Kate are making UK matters their personal business by doing the best they can to keep the public’s spirits up in these difficult times.
“They feel almost wholly responsible as they are the only influential ones young enough to be out there at the moment apart from Sophie and Edward and The Princess Royal,” Seward explained. “They have the highest profile and want to use it to the benefit of the monarchy, which has to be seen as being a comfort to people at this time.”
The good news here is that Will and Kate don’t seem to mind having more work to do in light of Harry and Meghan’s exit. “I think they are sending the message that they can do it on their own without the support of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex,” Seward added. “I get the impression that the Cambridges are far more relaxed and comfortable since Meghan and Harry left.” Tea!!!
