A highly anticipated royal wedding took place yesterday, when Jordan's Crown Prince Hussein married Rajwa Al Saif of Saudi Arabia, an architect with ties to her home country's monarchy. Naturally, the guest list was star-studded: Diplomats and royals from all over the world traveled to Amman, Jordan for the celebration, including Prince William and Kate Middleton, CBS News reports.

According to The Independent, the Prince and Princess of Wales' attendance was confirmed by the Jordanian state just hours before the wedding. Upon their arrival at the ceremony, held at Zahran Palace, Princess Catherine debuted a floor-sweeping blush pink gown by Elie Saab, complete with billowing sleeves, a pleated skirt, a high neckline, and intricate embroidery. She completed the look with dramatic chandelier diamond earrings and glamorous waves. Her husband sported a navy suit and pale blue tie for the occasion.

Princess Catherine changed into a sparkling pink gown by Jenny Packham for the reception—and paired it with a prized tiara, the Queen Mary's Lover's Knot, which was one of Princess Diana's favorites. This isn't the first time the Princess of Wales has reached for the diamond-and-pearl headpiece: She's worn it at a handful of diplomatic events, from state visits to the annual Diplomatic Corps reception at Buckingham Palace, reports People.

Though Prince William and Princess Catherine's appearance in Jordan was a surprise, the duo has longstanding ties with Jordan's royal family. Queen Rania, the groom's mother, is connected to one of Prince William's charities, People reports—and event footage showed the couple greeting Queen Rania and King Abdullah II shortly after they arrived at Zahran Palace (Princess Catherine dropped into a curtsy when she saw them!). They weren't the only members of the British royal family to show their support: Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, also attended the nuptials.

Britain's heirs to the throne warmly greeted the couple of the hour, too, on a receiving line post-ceremony. A funny clip of the exchange is making the rounds: Prince William appears to tell his wife, who is shown animatedly chatting with the bride, to hurry along—a sentiment any guest who has waited on a receiving line knows well.
