Prince William has reportedly pulled out of an event last minute due to personal reasons according to multiple outlets including People and The Daily Mail. William was scheduled to give a reading at a service of Thanksgiving at St. George's Chapel honoring his godfather King Constantine of Greece. According to People, the "personal matter" in question is not related to King Charles' health.

Per Daily Mail reporter Rebecca English, who was covering the service at St. George's Chapel, "Re Prince William, we are not being told anything more than it is for personal reasons, but it is clearly last minute as he was due to give a reading as he was King Constantine’s godson."

Meanwhile, Kensington Palace appears to have confirmed that Kate Middleton "continues to be doing well," though People notes that they "didn't indicate whether William's absence was due to Kate's recovery."

As a reminder, Kensington Palace announced on January 17 that Kate Middleton underwent abdominal surgery and would remain in hospital for 10-14 days. On January 29, they released an update saying "The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery. She is making good progress. The Prince and Princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided. The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world."

Kate isn't expected to resume public duties until after easter.
