Prince William Gets Upset When He's Cropped Out of Photos with Kate Middleton

Pretty sure we can all agree that when Kate Middleton and Prince William show up at royal events, Kate is the one owning the spotlight (no offense to William and his attempts to be relatable). And while for the most part Willy—as Prince Harry calls him—is completely fine with his wife's extreme popularity, apparently he doesn't appreciate being cropped out of photos.

Royal expert Roya Nikkhah tells True Royalty TV (via The Mirror) that "Charles was always very upset when Diana had eclipsed him, which was all the time. William is delighted by the fact that people warm to Catherine. William is comfortable with that. I have heard him talk about Catherine's work and how excited he is about it, and he loves that she is getting traction."

That said, "The only thing I know that does slightly bother him is when he is cropped out of photos. You will find very often they will do a joint engagement and the front page of the news the next day, it is as if William was never there!"

Speaking of royal jealousy issues, this report comes off the news that Kate made an unexpected appearance at the Chelsea Flower Show a few hours before King Charles and Queen Camilla. While this incident in particular didn't cause drama, the Daily Mail's Richard Eden noted that Kate's popularity can be "unsettling" for the King and Queen, explaining "Now that [Charles and Camilla] are King and Queen, it is slightly different. They want lots of attention for their causes and the things that they feel strongly about so it could be a bit unsettling if they don't get that attention." More on that whole saga below.
