  • Prince Harry and Prince William’s relationship has been strained since Harry and Meghan Markle decided to step down as senior members of the royal family.

  • According to a source, William and Harry’s relationship is “forever changed” and “they won’t get back to the way they were.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just finished up their last official royal engagements in the UK and are now focusing on building their new life in Canada with baby Archie. And while Meghan and Harry looked absolutely fabulous during their final appearances, the trip highlighted the tension between Meghan, Harry, Prince William, and Kate Middleton, and Kate is reportedly still taking Harry and Meghan’s exit “badly.”

And even though you might think that some of this newfound geographical distance could help cool down the brothers’ feud, a royal source tells People, “[Their relationship is] forever changed. They won’t get back to the way they were.” And part of that is because Harry is eager to move on with this nonroyal life. “Harry is looking straight ahead at his future with his family,” the source shares. “They will be spending time in California and in Canada. He’s not looking back.”

But even with the strain it’s caused Harry and Will’s relationship, Harry and Meghan are feeling good about their choice to step down from the royal family. The source adds, “This is what Meghan and Harry have always wanted—to create their own life. It’s got to feel like an immense relief to get out of the UK and go down their own path.”

So while it’s great that Harry and Meghan are happy, here’s hoping Will and Harry can work things out!
