Prince Harry Is Taking Over the National Geographic Instagram Handle Today
Prince Harry is certainly keeping busy on the royal tour this week. In addition to his announced engagements in Malawi today, the Duke of Sussex is guest-editing National Geographic's Instagram account, @natgeo.
In an effort to raise awareness about the importance of trees to the global eco-system, Harry is launching a social media campaign with the publication called "Looking Up," which will encourage people to share photos of the trees in their communities.
According to a press release from Buckingham Palace announcing the project, "Throughout the day, The Duke, will work with National Geographic to post images from renowned National Geographic photographers, highlighting indigenous trees and our shared responsibility in preserving what we have and so desperately need to survive."
Harry will also upload a picture from Liwonde National Park, in Malawi, where he is slated to announce two Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy initiatives. And he'll be using his own Instagram handle, @SussexRoyal, to re-post images of trees shared from around the world.

Conservation is a key issue for Harry, and it has been a particular focus for him during this royal tour. Just yesterday, the Telegraph published an essay from the Prince about the immediate need to increase efforts around the world.
"Conservation used to be a specialist area, driven by science," Harry wrote. "But now it is fundamental to our survival and we must overcome greed, apathy and selfishness if we are to make real progress."
