Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are toying with the idea of moving to Africa. During an interview with Tom Bradby for the upcoming documentary on Meghan and Harry’s recent trip to Africa, Harry expressed interest in having a base somewhere on the continent, saying he feels “more like myself” when he’s there.

“I don't know where we could live in Africa at the moment,” he said. “We’ve just come from Cape Town, that would be an amazing place for us to be able to base ourselves, of course it would. But with all the problems that are going on there I just don't see how we would be able to make as much difference as we want to without the issues and the judgement of how we would be with those surroundings.”

Whether or not the family decides to actually make the move from the U.K., Harry did say he and Meghan plan to focus on doing more work in the continent.

“The rest of our lives, especially our life’s work, will be predominantly focused on Africa, on conservation,” said the prince. “There’s a lot of things to be done. There’s a lot of problems here, but there’s huge potential for solutions.”

A royal source recently shared that he and Meghan, along with their baby Archie, will be going on a six-week break later in the year once they’ve finished up their remaining royal duties. The couple plans to split the time between the U.K. and U.S., which will make it Archie’s first time in his mother’s home country.
