Prince Harry is endlessly grateful for the life he has today, four years after deciding to step back as a senior member of the royal family.

Today, during activities for his 2025 Invictus Games launch in Whistler, Canada, the Duke of Sussex spoke to Good Morning America’s Will Reeve about his day-to-day with wife Duchess Meghan and their two kids, Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two.

When Reeve asked about the children, Harry joked, “I can’t tell you, that’s classified. It’s top secret.” He then added, “The kids are doing great. The kids are growing up like all kids do, very, very fast. They have both got an incredible sense of humor and make us laugh and keep us grounded every single day, like most kids do. So I’m just very grateful to be a dad.”

As readers may recall, Harry and Meghan welcomed Archie while still living in London as senior royals—Meghan even went through the traditional steps of posing for a photo with her newborn at Windsor Castle hours after he was born. But just a few months later, the new parents decided to leave the U.K. for Victoria Island, Canada, where they spent the first part of the COVID-19 pandemic before finding their current home in Montecito, California.

Life in the U.S. with his little family is “amazing,” Harry said. “I love every single day.”

The British prince even said he's thought about becoming a U.S. citizen. “American citizenship is a thought that has crossed my mind, but certainly not something that’s a high priority for me right now,” he said. “Do I feel American? No. I don’t know how I feel.”

Elsewhere in his interview with GMA, Harry opened up for the first time about dad King Charles III’s recent cancer diagnosis, and said he feels “grateful” he was able to visit his father briefly last week. “I love my family,” the duke added.
