Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are officially moving away from royal life this year, which means a lot of big changes for their family. This big announcement came after Harry and Meghan spent six weeks in Canada with their son, Archie, for the holidays, and last night, Harry broke his silence to share his thoughts on the news and the family's experience in Canada so far.

At a dinner for his charity Sentebale at a London restaurant Sunday, Harry gave his first speech since he negotiated the terms of the royal split with his family. Maybe the best thing Harry said in his comments last night didn't have to do with him or Meghan at all—it was about Archie. Apparently, during his holiday away in Canada, Archie got to experience something he hadn't seen in his eight months on this earth: snow!

"It has also been a privilege to meet so many of you, and to feel your excitement for our son Archie, who saw snow for the first time the other day and thought it was bloody brilliant!"

For this writer, the image of little Archie in the show takes the stress out of this very long royal news cycle and almost makes everything feel OK again. But Harry's speech also touched on some pretty serious notes.

He made several personal comments, including that he and Meghan "both do everything [we] can to fly the flag and carry out our roles for this country with pride. Once Meghan and I were married, we were excited, we were hopeful, and we were here to serve. For those reasons, it brings me great sadness that it has come to this."
