Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Children Have Playdates with James Corden's Kids

James Corden's interview with Prince Harry went viral last year as the two drank tea on top of a double decker bus. Corden and Harry have been friends for years; Corden and his wife, Julia Carey, attended the 2018 nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. That friendship has continued across the pond, with Corden revealing in a new interview with the Sun that their kids hang out.

Corden shared he's been to their new Montecito, California home, explaining, "It was more a sort of play date scenario [with the kids]. Then we went out for dinner after, it was lovely. Obviously I’m not telling you any more. Obviously."

Corden has three children: Max, 11, Carey, 7, and Charlotte, 4. So while they're all a bit older than Meghan and Harry's kids Archie, 3, and Lili, 11 months—the youngest Corden and the oldest Sussex are extremely close in age.

While he didn't reveal any details of the playdates, he did share his thoughts on the Sussexes and their move to California.

"Look, I’m a huge fan of both of them. Obviously I know Harry better than I know Meghan but I think it’s really hard to judge, or be judgmental," Corden said. "People process things and deal with things in different ways and that’s OK, and it’s all right to think whatever you think about somebody."

He added, "I don’t know if it necessarily needs to be voiced the whole time but my experience of them has been nothing but positive. I have a huge amount of respect and admiration for Harry, and anyone who has been around him and spent time with him would feel exactly the same way."

Corden also praised Harry for stepping down from royal life, saying, "I think he is a devoted and loving husband and father and I think what they have done is incredibly brave and I’ll always be in their corner."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning on bringing Archie and Lili to the UK for the Platinum Jubilee events.
