Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Visit the UK and Germany in September

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from royal life in March 2020, they stopped carrying out visits on behalf of the Queen and the monarchy. But they have continued to make appearances in support of organizations close to their hearts, and have today announced that they will be traveling to the UK and Germany in September.
"We are pleased to announce that Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will visit the United Kingdom and Germany during the first week of September this year," a message from the couple's media team announced. A spokesperson added, "Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to visit with several charities close to their hearts in early September."
The trip will see them attend the One Young World 2022 Manchester Summit on September 5 in the UK, the Invictus Games Düsseldorf 2023 One Year to Go event on September 6 in Germany, and the WellChild Awards 2022 on September 8 in the UK.
Notably, Harry launched the Invictus Games for wounded servicemen and women when he was a working royal, with the first event held in 2014. Additionally, he became Patron of WellChild in 2007, and it was one of the charity patronages that he kept rather than hand back to the Queen when he and Meghan left as working royals.
Since Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal life in March 2020 and moved to California they have returned to the UK together once, for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. The Prince is currently taking legal action against the UK's Home Office in order to guarantee himself and his family police protection when they are in the UK rather than their security being determined on a case by case basis. A judge has granted him a judicial review of the original decision but the process is likely to take several months.
