Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Are in Rome for a Star-studded Wedding

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle may have taken their fair share of personal holidays this summer. And it looks like they aren’t quite done yet. According to reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are in Rome for a long weekend to celebrate the wedding of a very special friend.

The Daily Mail reported, the duo landed in Rome on Thursday to celebrate the wedding of American designer Misha Nonoo and her soon-to-be husband, Mikey Hess. Though the royals have never confirmed, it has been reported that Nonoo is actually the one who set Harry and Meghan up on a blind date several years ago.

Royal correspondent Emily Andrews confirmed the Sussex sighting on Twitter writing that the pair was “seen arriving in Rome.” They will likely be spotted again when they make their way to the wedding ceremony, which is reportedly being held at Europe's largest film studio, known as Cinecittà.

Beyond their deep friendship, the Duchess and Nonoo also recently collaborated on the newly released Smart Set clothing collection. A portion of the collection’s proceeds will benefit the charity Smart Works, which supports women re-entering the workforce.

Of the collection, Nonoo told Harper’s Baazar, "Thinking about the essential pieces you need in your wardrobe, it makes sense that the foundation of a wardrobe should be black and white; for example, the classic white shirt and well-fitting black pants." Nonoo added, "Empowering women has always been my goal as a designer, and I was thrilled our brand could support so many women’s professional pursuits in this special partnership."

Though this is certainly a special event for Harry and Meghan to attend, they may not be the only royals watching Nonoo say “I do.” According to The Daily Mail, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are also close friends with the designer and likely received an invite. Not in attendance is little baby Archie. The royal couple reportedly left him at home for the event. However, fans of the entire Sussex crew will likely get a glimpse of Archie in the weeks to come when the family sets off on their tour of Africa.
