From Town & Country

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are on a traveling kick.

After visiting Miami last week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were once again in the U.S., though this time on the West Coast. According to Today.com, the couple visited Stanford University this past Tuesday to meet with the top university's professors.

Upon arrival, Meghan and Harry were greeted by Stanford president Marc Tessier-Lavigne. The duo then reportedly spent several hours with various academics and professors, discussing their new charitable organization.

The Duke and Duchess's new venture, Sussex Royal, will clearly continue to be important to them, even after they've transitioned to their new lives. When the couple announced their intention to step down from their royal roles in January, their newly-launched website noted that their charity would be a part of their "new chapter."

"This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity," read a message on their "About" page. Harry and Meghan first began working on Sussex Royal after they decided to peel off from the Royal Foundation, an organization that previously represented both the Sussexes and Prince William and Kate Middleton.

“Not only will their new foundation stand the test of time, but it will allow them to do some very ambitious things," said a palace source this past summer. "Their charity will provide them with an opportunity to create something that will be their defining work—and it’s entirely theirs.”

The couple is certainly spending plenty of time in the U.S. for work. Last week, the Duke and Duchess attended a private event for JP Morgan at Miami's 1 Hotel, and Prince Harry even spoke at the function. The duo is also in talks with U.S.-based companies, including Disney and AppleTV+, for various projects.
