Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Reportedly Took Archie on a Secret Vacation

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle apparently want to ensure their son Archie starts accumulating his frequent flyer miles early.

According to reports, not only did the couple take their son to Scotland this summer to visit his great-grandmother, The Queen, but they also allegedly jetted off to the Spanish island of Ibiza for a bit of time in the sun.

This week, Spanish newspaper El País reported the pair arrived for their undercover vacation via private jet alongside their son and a small security detail. Vogue, more specifically, reported they arrived on Aug. 6 and stayed in a private villa for six days, somehow going unnoticed by fans and the media the entire time. The family then flew back to London on Monday.

Vogue further noted, Ibiza isn’t a surprising destination for Meghan and Harry to visit. After all, before becoming a royal, Meghan frequented the island and often shared her adventures on her now defunct Instagram.

The trip, Marie Claire added, was likely the first time Archie had his passport stamped outside of the United Kingdom. However, this just marks the beginning of the many journeys to come for the littlest royal.

As Travel + Leisure previously reported, Harry, Meghan, and Archie are expected to travel to Africa soon to help support a number of charities across the continent.

"As it stands the plan is that Harry and Meghan and their newborn baby, in probably about six months, will take a trip to Africa and tour several countries in Africa," Royah Nikkhah, royal correspondent for The Sunday Times, told Good Morning America way back in May, just prior to Archie’s birth. “And around October time probably visit two or three different Commonwealth nations which are of course the nations in Africa that have a close relationship with the U.K."

In June, Kensington Palace confirmed that the couple will “undertake an official visit to South Africa this Autumn at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office,” Emily Nash, royal reporter at Hello!, tweeted. The announcement added, Harry will “visit Angola and Malawi at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office,” as well as a "working visit to Botswana." No word on if Meghan and Archie will join for all of the trip or just the beginning. Don’t worry, we’ll surely keep you abreast of their every travel move.
