Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Love Story Is About to Become Your Favorite Lifetime Movie
After this weekend, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding checklist might read something like this: Cake? Check. Bridesmaids? Check. Lifetime movie detailing our romance? Um, almost check.
Lifetime head of programming Liz Gateley recently revealed that the network is currently working on a movie chronicling Prince Harry and his wife-to-be’s love story in anticipation of their May 19 wedding. Titled Harry & Meghan: The Royal Love Story, the fairy tale begins with the moment they met through a mutual friend and continues through their engagement. The film will also explore how the couple kept their romance secret and all of the ways that Markle’s induction into the royal family is a historic one.
Menhaj Huda (The Royals) is set to direct the script from Scarlett Lacey. Harry & Meghan is currently casting and does not yet have a premiere date, though it’s likely that, like William & Kate: The Movie, this gem will premiere sometime around their spring wedding.
