  • Sources confirm to BAZAAR.com that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended an event in Miami last night.

  • Prince Harry reportedly made a speech during the soirée, which is said to be the annual JPMorgan AIS (Alternative Investment Summit).

The Sussexes secretly made their first joint appearance since stepping down as senior members of the royal family.

Sources confirm to BAZAAR.com that the couple did attend an exclusive event hosted by JPMorgan in Miami's South Beach last night. Page Six originally broke the news that the royal couple were present at the private soirée.

The outlet described the event as "very hush-hush, with a lot of security," but contrary to Page Six's reporting, Harry and Meghan were not keynote speakers for the evening. Harry did a make a speech during the event, but Meghan did not.

The event in question is believed to be the JPMorgan AIS (Alternative Investment Summit) that's annually held in Miami and attended by high ranking—and very rich!—public figures such as Bill Gates, Gayle King, and Alex Rodriguez. (We'd like to imagine Meghan and J.Lo had an interaction.)

The summit took place at the luxurious 1Hotel in Miami, quite a stark change in scenery from Meghan and Harry's Vancouver abode where the two have been laying low since their exit from the royal family.

Since the Sussexes' stepping down, Prince Harry and Meghan have reportedly been relishing a "quieter life" at home in Canada and spending their days hiking, cooking at home and having quality time with their young son, Archie.
