Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Could Still Attend Princess Beatrice's Wedding

While some royal watchers combed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's official exit strategy outline and saw what may have been digs at Princess Beatrice, sources told the Daily Telegraph that the Sussexes could still attend her wedding this May.

While there hasn't been an official announcement, the source says that Harry and Meghan were definitely invited, but that nobody's sure if they'll make the trip across the pond for the royal wedding.

"Of course, Harry and Meghan will be invited [to Beatrice’s wedding] but it is up to them whether or not they choose to attend," a source told the Telegraph. "The trouble with Harry and Meghan is that they think they are bigger than the institution. It’s such a shame things have turned out like this. It’s fair to say the relationship is not what it was."

Members of the royal family — and those who are in a grey area, like Meghan and Harry will be — don't necessarily get to attend every big-ticket event. Beatrice's mother, Sarah, Duchess of York, was famously not invited to Harry and Meghan's wedding reception.

There could be other reasons for the pair not to attend. Page Six notes that Harry and Meghan announced her pregnancy on a very inopportune date at a very inopportune time: Princess Eugenie’s wedding reception in October 2018.

Princess Beatrice is set to marry Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on May 29.
