Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Have a New Countryside Retreat
The newly minted Duke and Duchess of Sussex may have slightly delayed their honeymoon, but that hasn't stopped the couple from picking out a love nest. According to a report by Us Weekly, Prince Harry and Meghan have signed a two-year lease on a home called WestfieldLarge in the Cotswolds.
The couple have made Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace their permanent residence, but the property is undergoing some renovations at the moment to freshen things up for the newlyweds. While the 21-bedroom (that's bedroom, not room) apartment inside the palace itself that they're said to be sharing in the interim is certainly nothing to sneeze at, the newly leased property will likely serve as a weekend retreat.
The home is nestled on the bucolic 4,000-acre grounds of the Great Tew Estate, "the archetypal English Country Estate," according to its website. Think: thatched cottages, rolling hills, fluffy spring-everything that you could wish for in an English countryside fantasy.

Meghan clearly agrees; the move won't be her first time staying on the estate. The couple reportedly spent the weekend before the wedding at WestfieldLarge, perhaps trying it on for size, and Meghan also hosted her spa-themed bridal shower at the luxurious Soho Farmhouse hotel that shares the grounds back in March.
"Meghan loves the Cotswolds and fell in love with the estate the first time she went,” a source told Us Weekly.
As for neighbors, they'll be in good company, sharing acreage with the country home of a couple of their wedding guests, David and Victoria Beckham.
Of course, WestfieldLarge probably won't be the only new property in the newlyweds's names soon. The Queen has a habit of giving property as a wedding gift-Prince William and Duchess Kate were gifted with the 10-bedroom Anmer Hall on Queen Elizabeth’s private Sandringham Estate after their nuptials-and is likely to carry on the tradition with Harry and Meghan. No announcements have been made yet, but speculation places York Cottage, a part of the same Norfolk holding as Anmer Hall, as a strong contender.
