Prince Harry Makes a Covert, Pre-Easter Trip to See Meghan Markle in Toronto

It’s a big development in their relationship, even though they were separated by a playing field.

Following last week’s announcement that Meghan Markle is shutting down her Web site, the Tig, the Prince Harry-Markle engagement watch has been on high alert. It could happen at any moment, you guys (though likely not before Pippa Middleton’s wedding on May 20—although nothing about this relationship has been particularly predictable, so who can really know for sure!).

The frenzy surrounding the couple is only going to increase this week, as Harry has been photographed—in a set of among the grainiest paparazzi photos you’ve ever seen—walking into Markle’s apartment in Toronto on Wednesday night. The prince is wearing a baseball hat, toting a duffel bag, and, honestly, we mostly just feel bad that he is getting snapped in a moment like this, as we know how we feel (and appear) when we are returning to our apartment after a long flight in the middle of the night, and let’s just say it is not a time we would be wanting to be photographed.

Expect the Toronto paparazzi to be out in full force over the next few days, as it seems likely Harry will stick around for the holiday weekend, with Markle filming her show Suits in the city. How will the two spend Easter? Will they attend a Toronto brunch together, Markle showing Harry her favorite Tig-endorsed spot, as a sort of tribute to the departed site? Will they shop for new matching beanies? Or perhaps they will spend a day looking for a wedding gift for Pippa? One thing is nearly for sure: we will be met with some grainy photographs of whatever they get up to.
