Prince Harry introduces pregnant Meghan Markle to his 98-year-old superfan during Australia tour

The royal family has amassed a flock of adoring fans, and Prince Harry is no exception. On Tuesday in Australia, one of the Duke of Sussex’s enthusiasts, 98-year-old Daphne Dunne, was ready to greet him for the third time. During the sweet reunion, Harry introduced her to his wife, Meghan Markle, for the first time. Meghan assured Dunne that she might be meeting their little one next time they make it Down Under.

While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their way through a crowd during the Australian leg of their first official royal tour, it was no surprise to see Dunne sitting toward the front of the group. Harry immediately went over to say hi to the war widow, whom he met previously in 2015 and 2017. However, Dunne seemed most excited to meet the duchess and congratulate the mom-to-be on her pregnancy.

“Congratulations, I think that’s marvelous,” Dunne was heard saying to Meghan, on the same day that Kensington Palace had announced the newlyweds’ baby news. “It’s just what Harry needs.”

The three continued to chat with Meghan’s hands in Dunne’s, as Harry pointed out that Dunne was wearing her late husband’s Victoria Cross medal for bravery, saying that it was what initially drew his attention to her.

“Hopefully the next time we see you, we’ll have our little one with us,” Meghan said to Dunne, before the woman replied, “Oh, beautiful.”
