UGH, so bad news: turns out Prince Harry is even more perfect than we thought. In a mission to put his arch nemesis Prince Charming to shame, it turns out Harry bought Meghan a secret and highly romantic gift just days before their relationship went public.

Apparently, Harry spent thousands of dollars on a piece of art titled Everybody Needs Somebody To Love by Van Donna which he bought "for an important person" in October 2016.

The piece is a diptych-which means there are two sides of a canvas forming one piece of art-and shows a man and woman holding hands on one side, with the words "Everybody Needs Somebody To Love" on the other.

"Harry is one of the regulars in the area and regularly goes into the shops and galleries with his bodyguard, kind of in stealth mode," a local art collector told People. "He was in the gallery for a little while and liked a few things, then settled on the Van Donna. He said he was looking for something for 'an important person.' It was literally just before anyone heard about Meghan-literally just days before it was announced he was going out with her."

It's unknown how much Harry spent on the piece, which was apparently purchased at Walton Fine Arts gallery in Kensington, but a similar Van Donna piece sold at Christie’s in 2016 for $5k.
