  • Prince Harry and musician David Foster reportedly retain a "father and son"-like bond, according to Foster's wife, singer Katharine McPhee.

  • "My husband has a really, really beautiful relationship with Harry," said the singer during an interview with Access Hollywood.

  • McPhee also recently reconnected with Duchess Meghan, who she used to perform in school plays with when they were teenagers, thanks to her husband.

Katharine McPhee is revealing details on the close bond that her husband, musician David Foster, retains with the Duke of Sussex.

"My husband has a really, really beautiful relationship with Harry," said McPhee during an interview with Access Hollywood. "They're like, they're so cute. They're like father and son."

Though the friendship between McPhee and Foster and the royals might seem random, the musically inclined couple has a deeper connection to the Sussexes than one may think. McPhee actually attended the same high school as Meghan, and the two even performed in school productions together. Foster also helped the Sussexes find a secluded compound in Vancouver Island when they relocated to Canada following their stepping down from the royal family earlier this year.

McPhee continued to praise her husband's generosity when it came to helping the Sussexes find their feet on North American soil, saying that the legendary composer retains a big heart when it comes to helping those he cares about.

"David's the resource guy. He loves to help people," said McPhee. "Meghan and I knew each other from childhood, but really Harry and my husband are friends. It's really nice."

The Sussexes' time in Canada came to a surprise close, however, back in March, when the family moved once more to Meghan's hometown of Los Angeles. The move happened right before Canadian borders closed off travel due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

McPhee added that she and her husband are happy to see the royal couple live wherever—as long as they are happy. "[We] just want them to end up wherever they feel safest and happiest," commented McPhee.
