  • Royal siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte arrived at the royal family's Christmas Day church service alongside their parents.

  • George and Charlotte looked incredibly smart, as both children held hands with their dad, Prince William.

  • Grandad Prince Charles arrived alongside the Cambridges.

When it comes to Christmas, the royal family always attends a morning church service in Sandringham.

The important tradition of attending church on Christmas Day was reportedly started when the queen's great-great grandmother, Queen Victoria, visited St. Mary Magdalene, a small, village church on the Sandringham estate. 2019 has been made even more adorable thanks to the first joint appearance at the service by Kate Middleton and Prince William's children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, at the festive event.

Little Prince Louis didn't attend the festivities, with The Sun's royal correspondent, Emily Andrew, noting that the 18-month-old would likely be at home with Duchess Kate's parents.

Prior to their appearance at Sandringham, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a beautiful family portrait on Instagram, and wished their followers a Merry Christmas.
