Prince George and Princess Charlotte Make Their Royal Christmas Walk Debut

Christmas Day is one of the few times of the year that the royal family gathers together publicly. The Queen's closest relatives all walk to holiday services at St Mary Magdalene together, a stroll which over the years has become a time-honored tradition. And this December, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince George, 6, are finally old enough to make their debut.

For context, Prince William first walked on Christmas in 1987 when he was five years old, with his brother Prince Harry making his debut the following year, at age four. (Given that he is just one year old, Prince Louis was deemed too little to participate in today's appearance.)

Rumors that the two older Cambridge kids might be seen on Christmas day started to circulate earlier this month, but Kensington Palace did not confirm their attendance ahead of time.
