  • While visiting a photography workshop today, Kate Middleton revealed that two of her kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, "love it" when she takes the camera outside with them to take photos.

  • The Duchess of Cambridge is known to take her children's royal portraits, which are often shot outside of their country home in Norfolk.

Kate Middleton luckily doesn't have to deal with squirmy kids who don't like posing for pictures. The Duchess of Cambridge revealed on Tuesday that her children "love" when she brings her camera outside with them to take a few shots.

During a visit to a photography workshop, Kate, who loves getting behind the lens, shared some personal tips to amateur young photographers. "Just look at everything around you," she told her students, according to People. "Maybe it’s in front of you, or far away but choose your subject and focus in on it"

She added, "Get outside with your camera as well. George and Charlotte love it when we do that."

Duchess Kate actually photographs her own kids' official royal portraits, which are released on their birthdays or other big milestones. As she suggested in today's workshop, the images are usually taken outside, often at her and Prince William's country home in Norfolk.

For Princess Charlotte's fourth birthday on May 2, Kate photographed her daughter posing with ease and playing in the grass. Sporting a floral dress and a big smile, Charlotte seemed far from camera shy in the pictures.

Kate and William's youngest child, Prince Louis, is also a natural in front of the camera. For his first birthday portraits, he was snapped frolicking around outdoors in adorably tiny sweaters.

Prince George's birthday portraits have been taken by other professional photographers, but Duchess Kate did take this sweet snap of her oldest on his first day of nursery school.

The queen honored the Duchess of Cambridge's love for photography today by making her the patron of the Royal Photographic Society. Her Majesty previously held the role for 67 years.
