Prince George to Play a Key Role in the Queen's Christmas Broadcast
Prince George is set to be a part of the queen's Christmas Day speech this year.
It was recently revealed that the little royal helped the queen make Christmas puddings for charity.
With Meghan Markle and Prince Harry spending Christmas in Canada, and Prince Philip currently in hospital, the queen has been receiving support from the Cambridges.
Prince George is most definitely ready for his close-up.
Having made Christmas puddings for The Royal British Legion's "Together at Christmas" initiative, Prince George will apparently be included in the queen's speech this year, which always airs on Christmas Day.
The Sunday Times' royal correspondent, Roya Nikkhah, reported on Prince George's important Christmas role in 2019. Nikkhah wrote, "With key royals ill, absent or banished, the little prince will play a starring role in the queen’s Christmas Day broadcast."
USA Today confirmed, "Video footage of the pudding preparations also was recorded to be broadcast on the afternoon of Christmas Day during the queen’s annual Christmas speech to the nation."
The queen attended church in Sandringham on Sunday, ahead of the royal family's traditional Christmas celebrations, which take place in Norfolk rather than London. Prince Philip is currently in a London hospital, and was admitted for two nights as a precautionary measure for a "pre-existing condition." A statement from Buckingham Palace explained, "The Duke of Edinburgh traveled from Norfolk this morning to the King Edward VII Hospital in London for observation and treatment in relation to a pre-existing condition. The admission is a precautionary measure, on the advice of His Royal Highness’ Doctor."
