Prince George Looks So Grown Up In a New Photo, Taken By Kate Middleton For His Birthday
Prince George is definitely growing up! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's eldest child is celebrating his eighth birthday tomorrow. In honor of George's big day, Will and Kate shared a new photo of the not-so-little prince.
Each year, Prince George's mother, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, typically takes a new picture of her elder son and posts it for his birthday. This year is no exception. The Duke and Duchess shared a never-before-seen image of the Prince, taken by Kate. In the photo, which was captured in Norfolk earlier this month, George sits atop a car in the countryside, wearing a navy and orange striped polo shirt and navy shorts. He also sports a wide, toothy, adorable grin.
For George's seventh birthday, his parents released two new photos of the Prince, where he was captured grinning for his mom, who once again took the images. In addition to today's distributed photograph, Prince George has been making more public appearances as he grows older.
Earlier this month, the Prince joined his parents at the European Championship final, watching England play Italy in a heated soccer match at Wembley Stadium. Prince George dressed up for the occasion, sporting a small, adorable suit and tie. He also did not hide his emotions throughout the game, hugging his parents in victory and looking quite displeased at defeat. The little Prince's disappointment was palpable when England eventually lost the match.
Prince George made another public appearance on Father's Day, where he and his sister, Princess Charlotte, joined their dad to kick off a half-marathon Father's Day race at Queen Elizabeth's Sandringham Estate. The trio counted down the start of the race and cheered on all of the runners. The Cambridge kids are getting older, but they're not too grown up to show their parents some affection. George and Charlotte were spotted sweetly holding hands with their dad as they approached the stage.
