From Town & Country

News broke yesterday that Prince Charles had tested positive for COVID-19, after experiencing mild symptoms. A palace source told Town & Country at the time that the Prince remained in "good spirits," and that his illness was "unlikely to escalate into a more serious case."

It seems that, at least in part, the heir to the throne has been able to retain that positive outlook due to the copious well-wishes he's received from fans. Charles and Camilla's official Twitter account said as much today, sharing a photo of the Prince alongside a grateful message.

"Thank you for all your ‘Get Well Soon’ messages for His Royal Highness," it read. "He is enormously touched by your kind words."

It's understood that the Prince of Wales has been working at his desk at Birkhall—his and Camilla's home on the grounds of Balmoral, the Queen's residence in Scotland—as per usual today. Charles and Camilla, who tested negative, have been isolating separately there, according to a statement released yesterday. Read it in full below.

The Prince of Wales has tested positive for Coronavirus. He has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual. The Duchess of Cornwall has also been tested but does not have the virus. In accordance with Government and medical advice, the Prince and the Duchess are now self-isolating at home in Scotland. The tests were carried out by the NHS in Aberdeenshire where they met the criteria required for testing.

It is not possible to ascertain from whom the Prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks.
