Fans of the royal family have been justifiably concerned over the last few weeks, as word has gotten out that the Queen has been a bit under the weather. The 95 year old monarch was hospitalized for "preliminary investigations," last month before being sent home to Windsor Castle to rest and was later advised by medical staff that she should take it easy for an addition two weeks. She's even, reportedly, been forced to give up her beloved pastime of horseback riding for the time being due to physical discomfort. While she's been taking on "light, desk-based duties," and is reportedly "on very good form," fans have naturally continued to hope for further information as to how she's doing.

On Wednesday, her son, Prince Charles, offered some well-wishers a bit of reassurance on that front. Following an event for the Prince's Trust in London, Charles greeted some of the crowd that had gathered, one of whom asked, "How is your mother?" per Hello! Charles responded simply, "She's alright, thank you."

Though it may not be an especially revealing update, it's not the first time in recent days that the Prince of Wales has made assurances about his mother. During the COP26 conference on climate change, President Joe Biden also asked after the Queen's health, with Charles informing him that his mother way "very disappointed" not to be able to come to the event in person as originally planned and added, "You are kind to ask after her. I'll make sure I say."
