From Town & Country

Thomas Markle Sr.'s 15 minutes of fame just won't end. Meghan Markle's father continues to speak to the British press, criticizing the royal family and sharing intimate details about his daughter's private life. In recent weeks, he's speculated that Meghan and Harry will have a baby sometime soon, and on Friday, he even likened the royal family to a cult.

"They are cult-like-like Scientology-because they are secretive," he said in an interview with The Sun. "They close the door, pull the shades down and put their fingers in their ears so they don’t have to hear."

And while the Markles have made their feelings very very public, the royals, true to form, are playing it close to the breast. Though no official statements have been made, Meghan's new father-in-law, Prince Charles, is reportedly "sympathetic." He understands the "difficult situation" his new daughter-in-law is in.

"The prince will be very sympathetic towards Meghan and the difficult situation she is in," a source told the Sunday Times. "But I suspect the Queen will be rolling her eyes and thinking: crikey, what is going to become of all this?"

In that same piece in the Times, Roya Nikkhah reports that Meghan and Harry "'are not going to engage'" with Markle Sr. or try to 'set the record straight.'"

There have been rumors that the Palace is considering a more "aggressive" strategy to deal with Thomas Markle Sr. and his continued appearance in the press, though it's unclear what that might entail.

Markle Sr. had originally planned to walk his daughter down the aisle at her wedding, but he did not make it due to health issues.

“Sadly, my father will not be attending our wedding. I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health,” read Meghan's official statement at the time. “I would like to thank everyone who has offered generous messages of support. Please know how much Harry and I look forward to sharing our special day with you on Saturday."

In the end, Prince Charles was the one to walk Meghan down the aisle.
