  • Prince Charles seemingly snubbed Vice President Mike Pence while shaking hands with world leaders.

  • Pence’s press secretary is speaking out against the claims, “The VP and Prince Charles spoke prior to entering the event floor and after his remarks as well.”

Yesterday, an instantly viral video hit the internet of Prince Charles seemingly throwing massive shade at Vice President Mike Pence and refusing to shake his hand. In the video, Prince Charles can be seen greeting world leaders. When Charles reaches Pence, he appears to skip over him and instead shakes hands with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Okay, but here’s the thing. Apparently, Charles and Pence were super chummy elsewhere in the evening, and VP Press Secretary Katie Waldman even shut down snub talk on Twitter, writing, “This is not true. VP and Prince Charles spoke prior to entering the event floor and after his remarks as well.”

Before you’re like, “SURE, JAN,” there’s actually photo proof:

And Charles’ communications secretary also tweeted confirmation that the pair had a “warm” convo:

As a reminder, back in early December Princess Anne went viral for opting out of greeting President Trump when the queen hosted a bunch of world leaders at Buckingham Palace. In a video from the event, the queen realizes Anne isn’t in the receiving line, looks over at her, and Anne quite literally just goes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
