Kate Middleton and Prince William did it at Wimbledon in soft blues. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry gave it a try at The Lion King premiere in sleek black numbers. And now, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles are the latest royal couple to coordinate their outfits for an outing.
Today the 70-year-old Prince of Wales and the 72-year-old Duchess of Cornwall attend the 100th Royal Welsh Show at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells, Wales, in matching ensembles that definitely required some planning.
Prince Charles donned a beige suit (a summer staple) with a white button-down, brown leather shoes, a taupe, red and white striped tie, a kinda clashing green and white pocket square and several pins on his lapel.
His wife followed his sartorial cue in a chic in a similarly hued outfit.
The Duchess of Cornwall opted to rock a beige tea-length dress with white polka-dots, a pleated skirt and a split-neck neckline. She paired the frock with her go-to Sole Bliss Ingrid block heels ($195), but her coat was what really surprised us. Parker Bowles topped the ensemble with a posh Burberry Kensington long trench coat in honey ($1,890) that we haven’t seen her wear before. She completed the look with pearl earrings and the royally required nylons.
Aside from color coordinating, the heir apparent to the British throne and his wife watched the Zulu Impi regiment warriors from South Africa perform a traditional dance for them as well as the King Goodwill Zwelithini and Queen Pumi, who also attended the celebration.
In additional to the entertainment, Prince Charles and Parker Bowles toured the new garden, hit up the cattle rings, opened the show ground’s new equine arena and poked their heads into the floral pavilion.
You know what they say: A couple that dresses well for the biggest agricultural fair in the U.K.…looks great in pictures.
