King Charles has officially given his disgraced brother Prince Andrew notice to move out of the Royal Lodge—a massive property on the Windsor Estate that Prince William and Kate Middleton have their eye on. Buuut Andrew isn’t going without a fight. And by “fight,” I mean he “refuses to see anybody” and doesn’t seem to understand why it’s unreasonable that one man (who was stripped of his royal titles) is occupying a 30-room royal mansion.

The Daily Mail reports that Andrew refuses to leave the £30 million estate, despite the fact that King Charles made it clear he’s evicted—even cutting Andrew’s annual £250,000 subsidy from the late Queen (which allowed him to pay for the mansion’s upkeep). But according to a family friend, Andrew is “refusing to budge” and—again—“refusing to see anybody.”

Apparently, Andrew is “concerned that now the coronation is over, the knives are out. He’s worried that the royals might even turn off the utilities to get him out of there.”

There also seems to be some resentment on Andrew’s part that neither King Charles nor Prince William has sat down with him face-to-face to discuss him leaving the Royal Lodge. But to be clear: It’s not like Prince Andrew will have nowhere to go—nor will he have to pay his own way (god forbid 🙄). He’s actually being offered Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s former home Frogmore Cottage, which was recently renovated and seems all kinds of fancy. So…yeah. Not sure what the issue is.
