Prince Andrew Shares New Photos From Daughter Princess Eugenie’s Wedding
Prince Andrew is one proud papa. The Duke of York took to social media on Wednesday, October 17, to share several unseen images from his daughter Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank, which took place last Friday at Windsor Castle.
Specifically, the duke honed in on the bright florals featured throughout his daughter’s reception. “The flower arrangements displayed during the Wedding Reception for Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank last Friday at Windsor Castle were created using autumnal foliage from Windsor Great Park and biodegradable oasis, following The Couple’s autumnal theme and eco-friendly request,” he shared on Instagram.
The couple announced that their wedding would focus on sustainability much like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wanted with their nuptials at the same location in May.

The flower arrangements included garden roses, berries, regal autumnal leaves and greenery from the property. Prince Andrew also thanked the florists for the pieces in his caption.
Though Eugenie’s wedding took place at the same venue as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s nuptials, the theme and color scheme were vastly different. The Sussexes, currently expecting their first child together, opted for a muted palette with blush and white florals, while Eugenie and Brooksbank chose bright, seasonally-appropriate jewel tones to decorate their wedding space.
The Queen’s reception at Windsor Castle was exceptionally sentimental for the Duke of York, who gave a toast to the newlywed couple that left everyone in tears. One guest recalled how the prince’s speech was equal parts heartwarming and hilarious.
“It was the high point for everyone,” one guest recalled of one portion of the speech. “The Duke said, ‘I’m going to break York House rules now,’ and he went over and gave Jack a big hug. It was in front of everyone, even the Queen. It was a huge moment, a human moment.”
Prince Andrew also walked his daughter down the long aisle of St. George’s Chapel. He was seen throughout the day fluffing Eugenie’s train and helping out in whatever way possible.
“It’s a very small role, I just have to walk slowly. I haven’t been the father of a bride so I don’t know what to expect, but I’m looking forward to it,” he previously told ITV. “I’ll have to walk on the left of the carpet to make sure that she can get enough room. That’s a lesson I got from my wedding. My father-in-law walked down the middle so Sarah said ‘Get over to the other side.'”
