Prettymuch Release New Music Video for Their Beachy Anthem "Summer on You"

We need a beach bonfire right now.

American-Canadian pop group Prettymuch has already leaned into their boy band moniker, and like every good boy band, they've now come out with their quintessential summer anthem. New Kids on the Block had "Summertime." Backstreet Boys had the airy classic from summer 1997, "Quit Playing Games With My Heart." And in June, Prettymuch released the bright, catchy "Summer on You," written by Ed Sheeran and perfectly tuned to be playing on repeat during your sunny California car radio fantasy.

On Wednesday (June 11), Prettymuch dropped a new music video for the track. The video was filmed in Big Bear Lake, California, and it's got everything a summer-themed video needs: beachside bonfires, Polaroids, road trips, and lots of hanging out in picturesque cabins. Meanwhile, Prettymuch members Brandon Arreaga, Edwin Honoret, Zion Kuwonu, Nick Mara, and Austin Porter croon away about spending a summer with the people they love (per the lyrics, they've got no money, but they do have time — same).

The group has spoken in the past about their boy band status (they love Justin Bieber and One Direction) and how they want to change up the genre. That means you probably won't see many matching outfits from Prettymuch, though they do wear coordinating white sneakers in the "Summer on You" video. Brandon previously told Teen Vogue, "I mean, we are a boy band. We can't deny that, but at the end of the day we know we're not corny and cheesy. Eventually we're hoping the music will speak for itself and people will see."
