Enjoying Girls5Eva on Peacock? It’s unclear whether or not the girl group will reunite for a third time for another season, but here’s what we know about what’s next for the sitcom.
The show may not be an Emmy-winning hit (it did get a writing nom though!), but it has a good fan base and a solid cast with klout. How could you deny superstars Sara Bareilles, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Paula Pell, Busy Philipps, and Tina Fey another season if that’s what they wanted to do? Fingers crossed that they get to keep doing it.
Has Girls5Eva been renewed for season 3?
As of Season 2’s release, there is no news either way about the show’s future. Season 2 was announced in June 2021, about a month after the first season landed on Peacock. So it may be a little while before the streamer makes an official decision.
Who would be in season 3, if it happens?
That’s the thing, isn’t it? There are so many funny sitcom and Broadway people in Girls5Eva that half the reason to keep the show going is to bring on new cast members.
Season 2’s guest stars included Amber Ruffin, Chad L. Coleman, the Property Brothers, Heidi Gardner, Hoda Kotb, Tim Meadows, James Monroe Inglehart, John Lutz, Mario Cantone, Amy Sedaris, and Neil Flynn. Which other legends will join in? We’ll have to wait and see.
When would season 3 be out?
Trying to figure out when you should throw the towel in and accept defeat? Or are you trying to schedule your season 3 binge ASAP? While we still don’t know anything for sure, season 1 aired in May 2021 and season 2 was released in May 2022, so it feels like a pretty safe bet that season 3 would air in May 2023. If not, your guess is as good as ours.
