'Pretty in Pink' Star Molly Ringwald Stun in a Red Off-the-Shoulder Gown

Actress Molly Ringwald proved she's not just pretty in pink during a recent red carpet event.

The Breakfast Club star stepped out for the 2023 CFDA Fashion Awards on November 6 at the American Museum of Natural History in a gorgeous gown that had us seeing red — literally. The Sixteen Candles actress arrived with designer Zac Posen in a formfitting, bright one-sleeved gown from the Zac's 2017 collection. She accessorized with a small gold and red beaded purse, white jeweled button earrings and a matching red manicure. Her trademark red locks were cut in an edgy fringed style, and she finished off the look with a heavy brown and pink eyeshadow look and bright red lip.

Although Zac shuttered his long-running business back in 2017, the crimson gown was one of the few pieces he kept when he sold most of his archives back in 2017 — and, according to the Hollywood Reporter, the Pretty in Pink actress "fell in love with it." According to social media, she wasn't the only one who swooned for the vibrant dress.

"So elegant and timeless!!!!!," someone wrote on a gallery of photos she shared of the event on Instagram. "Pretty in red❤️," another said. "You look gorgeous in that dress!!!🔥," a different person commented, and another chimed in, "You look amazing! 😍 such an incredibly beautiful color on you!.

The Riverdale cast member was just one of the many famous faces that attended the awards, which are hosted each year by the Council of Fashion Designers of America, Inc., to "celebrate and honor the power of self-expression", and are held to "recognize the work of those who champion creativity and serve as ambassadors for American fashion." And although big names like Serena Williams, Demi Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow, Martha Stewart and Naomi Watts, the redhead's red carpet outfit was certainly a favorite for fans.
