"Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists" Teaser Photos Are Here

It’s been a long 519 days without Pretty Little Liars. (I may or may not have been counting. But also the official PLL Instagram told me it’s been that long, OK?)

All calendar-tracking aside, Tuesday nights have gotten pretty lonely without a new mystery to solve, a possible twin to look out for, or those swoon-worthy ‘ship moments. Fortunately, The Perfectionists — AKA the highly anticipated PLL spinoff — is just around the corner, and we finally have a sneak peek about what’s in store.

In three pictures released on Instagram yesterday, December 28, fans get a close-up look at what Alison DiLaurentis has been up to since finally escaping the clutches of “A” … and Big “A.” And, yeah, also Uber “A.” Girl's been through a lot.

One shot shows Ali positioned at a podium in a lecture hall, presumably inside Beacon Heights, the fictional school that serves as the mysterious and creepy backdrop of the upcoming spinoff. The other two ‘grams reveal some of the major characters, including Nolan (played by Chris Mason), Ava (portrayed by Sofia Carson), Caitlin (Sydney Park), and Dylan (Eli Brown).

But perhaps more telling than the photos themselves are the captions. Strung together, the three captions reveal: “‘A’ may be a distant memory, but Alison DiLaurentis is hardly out of the woods, even if she is finally out of Rosewood.” Oh, and the ‘grams also confirm: The Perfectionists will be coming to Freeform in 2019, meaning the wait is almost over…and a whole new era of questions is about to begin. Welp!
