Video Transcript

JANEL PARRISH: I don't want to get out of this position.

SOFIA CARSON: Yeah, I'm going to just stay here.

SASHA PIETERSE: Just stay like this.

SOFIA CARSON: I could do the rest of the interview like this, if that's OK.

SASHA PIETERSE: Yeah.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

JANEL PARRISH: My relationship with Sasha is so loving. She's like two things to me. She's like a little sister, because she's so much younger than me. But she's also like an older sister to me, because she's so wise. It's been almost 10 years, and I can't remember the exact day that we met.

SASHA PIETERSE: I met Janel-- I think it might have actually just been at our first "PLL" table read. I was like, wow, I want your lips. Janelli Bean-- she means so much to me. We've been on such a awesome journey together. And we've just created a really good friendship over basically, a decade.

SOFIA CARSON: I first met Janel the day of our table read, our first table read for the pilot. You know, we've really bonded over the fact that we're really, really close with our sisters. She's best friends with her sister and best friends with my sister. And we're also kind of old ladies in the fact that we don't really go out.

JANEL PARRISH: The first time I met Sofia, I saw her in the car in front of me. And I was like, oh, my god, that girl looks so glamorous. Like, I saw the back of her head. She's always so composed and just classy.

SASHA PIETERSE: My first impression of Sofia was how do you have your hair so perfect? Her hair is perfect! Sofia has taught me to take better selfies. We laugh a lot. Sofia is actually really, really funny. She's got such a cute little giggly fun side to her.

JANEL PARRISH: When she laughs, she snorts, and it's so cute.

SOFIA CARSON: I first met Sasha also on the same day that we had our first table read for the pilot. Her smile was just so sweet, and so kind, and so genuine. I definitely was thinking of how I was going to try and not to fangirl super hard when I met Mona and Alison, aka Janel and Sasha.

It's been like, 15 seconds.

[GIGGLING]

JANEL PARRISH: Hey [INAUDIBLE].

SASHA PIETERSE: You're so beautiful.

JANEL PARRISH: You're so pretty.

SASHA PIETERSE: I love your blue hair.

JANEL PARRISH: I love your face.

SOFIA CARSON: Hi.

SASHA PIETERSE: Your eyes are so pretty--

SOFIA CARSON: Yours are so pretty too.

[GIGGLING]

[SNORTING]

[LAUGHTER]

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

[SIGHING]

[GIGGLING]

JANEL PARRISH: I can see my reflection in your eye if I get really close.

SOFIA CARSON: Oh, I do see myself in your--

SASHA PIETERSE: Isn't that so weird?

SOFIA CARSON: Whoa!

SASHA PIETERSE: It's bizarre.

[GIGGLING]

JANEL PARRISH: I'm staring at your face [INAUDIBLE] look in your eyes.

SASHA PIETERSE: I don't think I've ever looked at someone for this long.

JANEL PARRISH: I've definitely never. Except for maybe Chris on our wedding day.

SOFIA CARSON: Except for Chris on your wedding day?

JANEL PARRISH: We're going to forever changed from this.

Try to read my mind.

SOFIA CARSON: You're hungry.

JANEL PARRISH: How'd you know?

SOFIA CARSON: And you want ramen.

JANEL PARRISH: Oh my god, you know me so--

[GIGGLING]

Yeah.

SOFIA CARSON: OK, read my mind.

JANEL PARRISH: You're hoping your stomach doesn't growl

SOFIA CARSON: Yes! (LAUGHING) Because I'm [INAUDIBLE]

[GIGGLING]

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

JANEL PARRISH: I'm just going to make weird faces at you till it's time.

[HUMMING THEME FROM "JEOPARDY"]

How much time do we have left?

- [INAUDIBLE]

SASHA PIETERSE: We did good.

SOFIA CARSON: That was effortless.

SASHA PIETERSE: We did good, yeah. No, we did totally-- yeah, that was so good.

JANEL PARRISH: You're really pretty, so it's--

SOFIA CARSON: You're really fun to--

JANEL PARRISH: --easy to look at you. But like--

SOFIA CARSON: You're like, really pretty.

JANEL PARRISH: --it's so unnatural to just stare at somebody and not break eye contact for two minutes straight.

SOFIA CARSON: Yeah.

SASHA PIETERSE: (WHISPERING) I can see me in your eyes.

JANEL PARRISH: It was a tender moment.

SASHA PIETERSE: (WHISPERING) It was.

SOFIA CARSON: It made us feel happy.

SASHA PIETERSE: It was great, yeah.

SOFIA CARSON: Connected.

SASHA PIETERSE: Yeah.

JANEL PARRISH: She literally read my mind.

SOFIA CARSON: Yeah, I did.

JANEL PARRISH: And I read yours.

SOFIA CARSON: I might end up falling asleep.

JANEL PARRISH: This is lovely.

SASHA PIETERSE: This is actually really great.

JANEL PARRISH: Because we wrapped two weeks ago, and I haven't seen you guys.

SASHA PIETERSE: I know.

JANEL PARRISH: And this is like a reunion.

SASHA PIETERSE: At least we don't have to try and look at each other while we're hugging. Actually, I heard a fun fact.

JANEL PARRISH: I'm so cozy.

SASHA PIETERSE: If you hug somebody that you're interested in for a certain amount of seconds, it like, bonds you for-- it was just so stupid.

SOFIA CARSON: Really?

SASHA PIETERSE: Yeah--

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

SOFIA CARSON: Like a love interest?

SASHA PIETERSE: If someone hugs you for you 15 seconds--

SOFIA CARSON: I can't imagine that.

JANEL PARRISH: I feel so loved.

SOFIA CARSON: This is so comfy.

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

SASHA PIETERSE: I'm going nuzzle you. Hello.

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

SOFIA CARSON: I don't want to stop.

JANEL PARRISH: I feel sleepy and happy.

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

SASHA PIETERSE: That was easy, I feel like.

SOFIA CARSON: That was like, revitalizing.

JANEL PARRISH: That didn't even feel like three minutes.

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

SASHA PIETERSE: --so warm and fuzzy.

SOFIA CARSON: Warm and fuzzy.

JANEL PARRISH: I feel so cozy-wozy.

SOFIA CARSON: Cozy.

SASHA PIETERSE: And rested.

It's hard to choose, to be honest.

SOFIA CARSON: I know--

JANEL PARRISH: There's so many things.

SOFIA CARSON: I have a few like are slash this, slash that.

JANEL PARRISH: Sofia is always positive and kind, even on the longest days.

SOFIA CARSON: That's very sweet.

SASHA PIETERSE: Aw, that's so thoughtful.

SOFIA CARSON: Thank you. It is very thoughtful.

JANEL PARRISH: Sofia has the cutest laugh ever. It's true.

SOFIA CARSON: Thank you.

SASHA PIETERSE: I wish I had your lips.

SOFIA CARSON: Ditto!

JANEL PARRISH: (SQUEALING) Thank you.

SOFIA CARSON: Ditto.

JANEL PARRISH: Oh.

SASHA PIETERSE: Thank you for being such a beautiful person, inside and out.

JANEL PARRISH: Aw.

JANEL PARRISH: Aw.

SASHA PIETERSE: Aw.

SOFIA CARSON: Janel?

JANEL PARRISH: Yes.

SOFIA CARSON: You have an infectious smile.

JANEL PARRISH: Aw, thank you, Sof.

SASHA PIETERSE: Aw, that's really sweet. It's a cute exercise to like--

SOFIA CARSON: It really is. It makes you feel really special.

JANEL PARRISH: I know, I wish--

SASHA PIETERSE: And be positive about something and like--

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

JANEL PARRISH: I'm going to go home and ask my husband to write compliments to me.

SOFIA CARSON: --compliments. Good every night.

SASHA PIETERSE: That's a great idea.

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

You know what I mean? I'm going to be like, husband, for Valentine's Day, I need you to write me a list of things that you love about me.

SASHA PIETERSE: I feel like this is going to be like "Mean Girls."

JANEL PARRISH: Oh god.

SASHA PIETERSE: But don't worry, we will catch you.

JANEL PARRISH: We will. Ah!

SOFIA CARSON: That was not even two feet.

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

SASHA PIETERSE: Janel!

SOFIA CARSON: I trust you.

[SQUEALING]

[GIGGLING]

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

OK, go, go, go.

JANEL PARRISH: (SQUEALING) I don't want to.

SOFIA CARSON: You go too. OK.

JANEL PARRISH: Here I go.

SOFIA CARSON: See? That wasn't scary.

SASHA PIETERSE: You ready?

SOFIA CARSON: Whoa! Sorry, that was your butt.

[GIGGLING]

JANEL PARRISH: I don't know what's up with these sound effects.

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

SASHA PIETERSE: Sofia's like, I'll catch you by your butt.

[GIGGLING]

SOFIA CARSON: This experience has been really like, warm.

SASHA PIETERSE: Yeah.

JANEL PARRISH: It's been so fun.

SOFIA CARSON: Cozy.

SASHA PIETERSE: It was really fun and unexpected.

JANEL PARRISH: I feel bonded.

SOFIA CARSON: Yeah, I think we were already close coming into it, but--

SASHA PIETERSE: Totally, but it's--

SOFIA CARSON: --intimate about--

JANEL PARRISH: Staring into each other's eyes.

SOFIA CARSON: Yeah, staring into each other's eyes, trusting--

SASHA PIETERSE: Seeing yourself in somebody's eyes.

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

That was weird.

JANEL PARRISH: I'm very grateful for you guys.

SOFIA CARSON: Aw.
