“Pretty Little Liars” Alum Troian Bellisario to Star in New Political Drama "Ways & Means"

It's time to celebrate, because Troian Bellisario has signed on for her first big TV role since starring on Freeform's Pretty Little Liars. And, not only is Troian coming back to TV, but she's pairing up with another small screen star, Grey's Anatomy alum Patrick Dempsey.

So, what kind of show has Troian ready to come back to the TV world? According to TV Line, it's a new CBS series called Ways & Means. Troian and Patrick will be coming together as co-leads of the politically-minded new show. TV Line shared a brief summary of Ways & Means, too, and it sounds like a timely, intriguing drama: "A powerful GOP Congressional leader by the name of Conor Byrne (Patrick Dempsey) who, after having lost faith in politics, finds himself working secretly with a newly elected, progressive, idealistic freshman Democratic Congresswoman named Claire (Troian Bellisario) to subvert the hopelessly gridlocked system he helped create. Claire is going to have to figure out how to merge her idealism with her ambition and, ultimately, she will either change Congress or Congress will change her."

It's been three years since Troian and her cast mates wrapped on PLL in 2017. Troian co-starred on the teen drama alongside Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, Ashley Benson, Sasha Pieterse, and Janel Parrish for all seven seasons. It was the role that helped turn Troian into a bonafide star and is still the role many of us know her for.

Since the end of PLL, however, Troian has been busy with new projects (including a part in Where'd You Go, Bernadette?) and a personal milestone: she and husband Patrick Adams have a 1-year-old daughter named Aurora together.
