The Prettiest Mountaintop Wedding We've Ever Seen at San Sophia Overlook

Don’t mind us, we’ll be staring at this wedding captured by Hannah Mayson wishing we got an invite 'till the end of time. If you’ve never heard of the San Sophia Overlook before - then you’re in for a treat! An abundance of greenery and white blooms by Dahlia Floral Design lined the aisle as the bride stunned in her Ines Di Santo dress and cape(!!). There are a million things to love about this mountaintop dream planned by Meehan Fee - but if we had to choose just one… it’s the bride’s infectious smile.

After meeting in passing during their college years, Shelton had always had an eye on Alissa but it wasn't until a few years post grad that he finally asked her to dinner. You could say dinner went well, because that same night he decided to introduce her to his sister and brother in law to get the family 'stamp of approval.'

Everyone quickly fell in love with Alissa's vivacious personality and constant smile.

Alissa chose her Ines di Santo wedding gown because she first fell in love with the drama of cape. With bridesmaids in varying shades of blue, they matched the foggy mountain scenery perfectly.

With so much of their relationship history pegged back to family trips to Telluride (and a surprise proposal on charming Main Street!), Alissa and Shelton decided it would be the perfect place to bring their friends and family for a week of celebrating, hiking, fly fishing and golfing.

After the wedding ceremony on the mountaintop, guests took a gondola down to happy hour at the Peaks Resort where they saw the most stunning sunset. Dinner was very classy, with elegant florals and gold rimmed plating.

To spruce up the dance floor area, Meehan (of Telluride Unveiled Wedding Planning) designed the ceiling to be a focal piece of the room, with greenery and lanterns suspended above.
