President Trump Served the Clemson Tigers a Fast Food Buffet at The White House
In a press conference early Monday, President Trump said he planned to serve the National Championship-winning Clemson Tigers a variety of fast food during their visit to the White House Monday night. "I think we're going to serve McDonald's, Wendy's, and Burger King, with some pizza. I really mean it. It'll be interesting, and I would think that's their favorite food."
He made good on that promise with a spread of 300 hamburgers, pizza, french fries, salads, McNuggets, and silver trays filled with nugget sauce when the football team arrived. "I wanna see what we have when we leave, I don’t think theres gonna be much," Trump said to reporters.

According to the White House, Trump paid for the meal out of his own pocket, because the government shutdown kept furloughed workers from preparing a meal. "[The] reason we did this is because of the shutdown," Trump said to reporters. "We want to make sure everything is right, so we sent out and we got this."
The team, who beat Alabama 44-16 last week, visited the White House in 2016, too, following its championship win.
When asked about his preference between McDonald's and Wendy's, Trump said this: "I like 'em all. It's American, I like it, its all American stuff, but it's good stuff."
