Crisis averted!

Melania Trump almost took a bit of a tumble on Monday while preparing to board Marine One on the White House lawn.

Despite spring being just a few days away, the first lady looked winter-chic in a navy wool coat that hit mid-calf and a pair of high-heeled suede boots. She wore her signature sunglasses while keeping her brunette tresses in its usual blown out style.

The first lady and President Trump were walking towards Marine One when she experienced an awkward misstep. She narrowly avoided a nasty spill with help of her husband, who pulled her closer to his side after already having his arm around her.

Her clumsy trip is quite a surprise considering Melania is a total pro when it comes to walking in heels. Afterward, Melania and President Trump were seen holding onto each other in a rare display of affection as they boarded the helicopter.

In recent weeks, the spotlight has been on the Trumps' marriage. In the very few times that FLOTUS has stepped out alongside her husband, their every move has been criticized.

Melania has been seen avoiding holding President Trump's hand on multiple occasions, causing many to speculate that there's trouble in paradise.

Prior to Monday's outing, the first lady dazzled in an emerald green Brandon Maxwell dress to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Check out the video above to see Melania's stumble.
